Title: CAP Recruitment Coordinator
Supervisor Title: Director of CAP Recruitment
Position Status: Volunteer, two-year appointment
Position Summary: Works under the direction of the director of CAP recruitment to strengthen the awareness and understanding of collegiate membership recruitment practices and techniques to collegians, alumnae and volunteers of CAP chapters. Partners with the rest of the chapter advancement program (CAP) volunteer teams to support chapters during their time on CAP.
Qualifications:

Initiated member of Sigma Kappa Sorority

Experience working with undergraduates and/or alumnae and/or life skills that relate to the position summary

Prior experience and/or familiarity with collegiate recruitment

Strong written and oral communication skills, customer service skills, organizational and delegation skills, time and project management, attention to detail, and interpersonal/relationship building skills
Responsibilities:
-
Serves as a member of designated chapter advancement program (CAP) teams; provides support to CAP chapters targeted to their specific needs.
-
Develops and monitors strategic, measurable recruitment goals with CAP team, recruitment advisors and chapter leaders to drive long-term membership growth and strengthen recruitment outcomes.

Supports, trains, and empowers recruitment advisors to develop and implement successful membership recruitment plans for their chapters. Assists with the development and presentation of workshops and training for recruitment advisors.

Works with the volunteer recruitment team to recruit and secure recruitment advisors and appropriate recruitment support for all CAP chapters for the upcoming calendar year.

Maintains and documents communication with assigned chapter recruitment advisors and chapters needing additional guidance providing coaching in planning and execution of primary recruitment and/or COB efforts.

Collaborates with the Panhellenic team to review campus recruitment rules for their assigned chapters.

Provides guidance to public relations and marketing officers on effectively managing chapter social media and marketing initiatives, including review of recruitment videos and recruitment focused social media content strategy.

Reviews and approves primary recruitment reports and COB plans for assigned chapters. Follows up with chapters and advisors regarding overdue reports or if any plan modifications are needed.

Verifies and documents primary recruitment dates.

Verifies and validates recruitment data and membership size information for their assigned chapters on a quarterly basis.

Maintains positive public relations within the Sorority, among all Sorority entities, other NPC, NPHC, MGC and NIC groups, university officials, vendors, and others.

Follows national policies and procedures and abides by local house/suite rules when visiting collegiate chapter facilities.

Promotes a sense of national pride in Sigma Kappa and a strong sisterhood in all related interactions.
-
Completes all required training and onboarding and participates in additional training opportunities offered to national volunteers.

Attends the Summit for Volunteers annually.
-
Attends national convention in even-numbered years.
-
Per the National Policy Handbook, all national officers shall pay alumnae dues either to a local alumnae chapter or directly to national headquarters.

All national officers are encouraged to make an annual financial contribution and/or planned gift to the Sigma Kappa Foundation in accordance with the National Policy Handbook.

Performs other duties as assigned by the director of growth.

Technical/Computer Skills:

Ability to effectively use email and Microsoft Office software programs, including a strong understanding of Microsoft Teams and Zoom.

Ability and willingness to effectively use other position-related technology tools (i.e. MyVote, CampusDirector, ICS, etc.).
Travel Requirements:
-
Less than 10 days annually, 20% weekdays, 80% weekends
-
Travel to chapter or assist virtually for primary recruitment
-
National convention: four days in even years; volunteers are responsible for paying the convention registration fee
Optional Travel:
-
Summit for Collegiate Leadership: three days annually, if selected as a facilitator
Time Commitment:
-
5-10 hours/week when not during primary recruitment season. Needs will be greater during primary recruitment period.

Participate in regular calls with supervisor and/or national headquarters staff

Participate in regular calls with CAP team
Volunteer Environment:

This position requires working independently as well as part of a team.

This position requires frequent verbal and face-to-face contact with others. Frequent use of a computer, general office equipment, and/or personal device (e.g., cell phone, tablet) is necessary.
