Position: Traveling Leadership Specialist

Location:
Fully remote with frequent travel

Position Summary:
High achieving leaders who will partner with collegiate chapters, volunteers and staff in assigned regional areas. Focus areas include implementing member development efforts as well as advising and consulting on chapter operations and recruitment. As members of Sorority staff, they will execute related administrative responsibilities. This is a full-time exempt traveling position that requires occasional work on nights and weekends.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree is required
• Proficiency with written and oral communication, customer service, organizational and delegation skills, attention to detail, IT skills, presentation and facilitation skills
• Ability to appreciate and work with individuals and experiences that are different than one's own
• Knowledge of Sigma Kappa Sorority operations, Bylaws, Ritual, policies and procedures
• Prior experience in creating trust, development and implementation of change effort
• Prior experience as Sigma Kappa chapter officer, Panhellenic officer and/or campus leader preferred

Responsibilities:
• Support collegiate chapter officers, local and national volunteers for assigned districts in all areas of chapter operations through a mix of in-person and virtual efforts.
• Visit collegiate chapters to support chapter operations, officer education, ritual assistance, recruitment and other responsibilities.
• Manage individual travel schedule, including creating travel plans and booking travel arrangements.
• Develop, host and assess collegiate officer round tables and training sessions to address identified chapter concerns and needs.
• Work collaboratively with the programming and training team to create and/or facilitate training modules, chapter development trainings, etc.
• Complete administrative duties related to the position including but not limited to:
  • Write and distribute visit reports at the conclusion of collegiate chapter visits.
  •  Process and record all data related to assigned collegiate districts and chapters including membership petitions, membership status change reports, chapter statistics and trend information.
  •  Complete monthly expense report.
• Assess the strengths and opportunities of assigned chapters and make suggestions for follow-up. Evaluate chapter effectiveness and adherence to national policies. Work with staff and volunteer teams to create chapter plans of action to address chapter issues and needs.
• Meet with fraternity/sorority advisors, designated chapter officers and attend chapter functions (excluding social functions) during each visit. Provide on-going support to chapter officers virtually.
• Support the organization’s efforts to prepare and execute national events such as bi-annual national convention and annual Emerging Leaders Conference, including traveling to events to provide on-site staff support.
• Perform other duties as may be prescribed by the CEO, senior director of membership strategy, director of collegiate services, or collegiate support managers of Sigma Kappa Sorority.

Salary Range:
$37,000-$39,000

Technical/Computer Skills:
• Ability to effectively use email (MS Outlook) and MS Office software programs as necessary.
• Ability and willingness to effectively learn and use other job-related technology tools.

Work Environment:
• The work environment is that of a fast-paced office with minimal to high noise levels and moderate temperatures.
• This position requires regular travel (8-10 days/month), including occasional night and weekend travel/work.
• This position requires working independently as well as part of a team.
• This position requires verbal and face-to-face contact with others on a daily basis.
• Frequent use of a computer, general office equipment, and/or personal device (e.g. cell phone, tablet) is necessary.
