Title: Alumnae Experience Coordinator
Supervisor Title: Director of Alumnae Experience
Position Status: Volunteer, two-year appointment
Position Summary: Supports director of alumnae experience (DAE) and oversees all virtual clubs and Day of Service. Assists with additional alumnae engagement events as assigned by the director of alumnae experience.
Qualifications:

Initiated member of Sigma Kappa Sorority
-
Experience working with undergraduates and/or alumnae and life skills that relate to the position summary
-
Prior experience and/or familiarity with membership engagement
-
Strong written and oral communication skills, customer service skills, organizational and supervision skills, time and project management, attention to detail, and interpersonal/relationship building skills
Responsibilities:
-
Supervises the operations and engagement within the national Sigma Kappa virtual clubs (cooking, travel and book clubs), including recruiting and communicating with monthly moderators, tracking participation, and identifying opportunities for growth

Reviews posts by moderators and replies to ensure appropriate content

Ensures moderators are recognized and thanked for their efforts

Manages gift exchange activities associated with each club

Oversees planning and promotion of Day of Service to all members and tracking participation by alumnae chapters

Works with the director of alumnae experience, young alumnae experience coordinator, other volunteers and NHQ staff to identify opportunities to increase alumnae participation and recommend improvements to existing programs

Participates in conference calls with national officers, team members and/or NHQ staff as necessary

Promotes the ongoing development of a service rapport with collegiate chapters, local and national volunteers, headquarters staff, and all members of the Sorority.

Maintains positive public relations within the Sorority, among all Sorority entities, other NPC, NPHC, MGC and NIC groups, university officials, vendors, and others.

Follows national policies and procedures and abides by local house/suite rules when visiting collegiate chapter facilities.

Promotes a sense of national pride in Sigma Kappa and a strong sisterhood in all related interactions.

Completes all required training and onboarding and participates in additional training opportunities offered to national volunteers.

Attends the Summit for Volunteers annually.

Attends national convention in even-numbered years.

Per the National Policy Handbook, all national officers shall pay alumnae dues either to a local alumnae chapter or directly to national headquarters.

All national officers are encouraged to make an annual financial contribution and/or planned gift to the Sigma Kappa Foundation in accordance with the National Policy Handbook.

Performs other duties as assigned by the director of alumnae engagement.

Technical/Computer Skills:

Ability to effectively use email and Microsoft Office software programs, including a strong understanding of Microsoft Teams and Zoom.

Ability and willingness to effectively use other position-related technology tools
Travel Requirements:
-
3-4 days annually, 10% weekdays, 90% weekends
-
National convention: three days in even years, with travel (responsible for paying convention registration fee)
Optional Travel:
-
Summit for Collegiate Leadership: three days annually, including travel (if selected as a facilitator, via the application process)
Time Commitment:
10-15 hours per month when not travelling:

Participate in quarterly volunteer coordinator calls (about one hour) and other calls as needed
-
Participate in regular calls with supervisor and/or national headquarters staff
-
Participate in regular calls with volunteer team
Volunteer Environment:

This position requires working independently as well as part of a team.

This position requires frequent verbal and face-to-face contact with others. Frequent use of a computer, general office equipment, and/or personal device (e.g., cell phone, tablet) is necessary.
