Title: Recruitment Coordinator
Supervisor Title: Director of Recruitment
Position Status: Volunteer, two-year appointment
Position Summary: Works under the direction of the assigned director of recruitment to strengthen the awareness and understanding of collegiate membership recruitment and retention practices and techniques to collegians, alumnae and volunteers in their assigned district.
Qualifications:

Initiated member of Sigma Kappa Sorority

Experience working with undergraduates and/or alumnae and/or life skills that relate to the position summary
-
Prior experience and/or familiarity with collegiate recruitment
-
Strong written and oral communication skills, customer service skills, organizational and delegation skills, time and project management, attention to detail, and interpersonal/relationship building skills
Responsibilities:
-
Supports, trains, and empowers recruitment advisors to develop and implement successful membership recruitment plans for their chapters.
-
Collaborates with the director of recruitment training (DRT) to identify and address recruitment training needs.
-
Works with the volunteer recruitment team to recruit and secure recruitment advisors and appropriate recruitment support for all chapters within the district for the upcoming calendar year.

Maintains and documents communication with recruitment advisors and chapters requiring additional guidance or support.
-
Provides coaching and guidance on the planning and execution of primary recruitment and Continuous Open Bidding (COB) efforts.
-
Collaborates with the Panhellenic team to review campus recruitment rules.
-
Assists with the development and presentation of workshops and training for recruitment advisors, equipping them to lead successful membership recruitment efforts within their chapters.

Provides guidance to recruitment advisors, vice presidents of recruitment (VPRs), and COB officers in developing and implementing competitive recruitment programs tailored to their campus.

Provides guidance to public relations officers on promoting their chapters and effectively managing chapter social media and marketing initiatives.

Receives and reviews primary recruitment reports, follows up with chapters and advisors regarding overdue reports, and verifies and documents primary recruitment dates.

Verifies and validates recruitment data and membership size information on a quarterly basis.

Collaborates with district volunteers to support the successful transition to the Heart to Heart new member experience program.

Maintains positive public relations within the Sorority, among all Sorority entities, other NPC, NPHC, MGC and NIC groups, university officials, vendors, and others.

Follows national policies and procedures and abides by local house/suite rules when visiting collegiate chapter facilities.
-
Promotes a sense of national pride in Sigma Kappa and a strong sisterhood in all related interactions.

Completes all required training and onboarding and participates in additional training opportunities offered to national volunteers.

Attends the Summit for Volunteers annually.
-
Attends national convention in even-numbered years.
-
Per the National Policy Handbook, all national officers shall pay alumnae dues either to a local alumnae chapter or directly to national headquarters.

All national officers are encouraged to make an annual financial contribution and/or planned gift to the Sigma Kappa Foundation in accordance with the National Policy Handbook.

Performs other duties as assigned by the director of growth.

Technical/Computer Skills:

Ability to effectively use email and Microsoft Office software programs, including a strong understanding of Microsoft Teams and Zoom.

Ability and willingness to effectively use other position-related technology tools (i.e. MyVote, CampusDirector, ICS, etc.)
Travel Requirements:
-
Less than 10 days annually, 20% weekdays, 80% weekends
-
Travel to chapter or assist virtually for primary recruitment
-
National convention: four days in even years; volunteers are responsible for paying the convention registration fee
Optional Travel:
-
Summit for Collegiate Leadership: three days annually, if selected as a facilitator
Time Commitment:
-
3-5 hours/week during non-primary recruitment season; 8-12/week during primary recruitment season.

Participate in regular calls with supervisor and/or national headquarters staff
-
Participate in regular calls with volunteer team
Volunteer Environment:
-
This position requires working independently as well as part of a team.
-
This position requires frequent verbal and face-to-face contact with others. Frequent use of a computer, general office equipment, and/or personal device (e.g., cell phone, tablet) is necessary.
